Gboard has stopped working error on Android devices

A recent Gboard update has caused the keyboard to crash on some Android devices.

Customers are advised to clear the data and cache for the Gboard app, which can be done by following the below steps:

To clear the Gboard data and cache:

1. From the home screen, swipe up to access apps.
2. Choose Settings.
3. Choose Apps & notifications.
4. Choose See all XX apps.
5. Choose Gboard.
6. Choose Storage.
7. Choose CLEAR CACHE.
8. Once the cache has cleared, choose CLEAR STORAGE.

A fix for the issue has been rolled out and the app should update automatically, but some users may need to manually update and reset their devices for the update to take effect.
